As an Event Operations Supervisor, you will have the perfect opportunity to touch the hearts of our guests by making their special occasions truly unforgettable.
We are looking for a remarkable individual to join our dynamic Conference & Banqueting team at the Fairmont St Andrews, one of Scotland’s most iconic 5 star luxury hotels and resorts in the home of golf.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure the highest levels of sanitation and tidiness are maintained before, during and after each shift
- Is able to read a BEO and knows how to complete set-up
- Maintain contact with meeting planners during their events
- Responsible for organising and coordinating all set-up activities of function areas
- Sets up function areas correctly and uniformly making sure materials used are clean and in good repair
- Knows and understands set-up of different table arrangements
- Performs refreshing of meeting rooms and coffee stations etc.
- To mentor an induction scheme for new colleagues and follow up on any concerns
- Identify training needs and follow through with on the job training
- Inspect function areas making sure furniture and place settings for meetings is correct
- Clears room and stores furniture and other equipment according to standards set by the set-up department, paying attention to the health and safety of the individual, colleagues and guests
- Other duties as assigned
